Final Conference: Mining enzymes for green products
Market demand is increasing for cosmetics that are produced with natural enzyme-based conversions rather than chemical processes. With the OPTIBIOCAT project, European researchers launched a major initiative that is sifting through the genomes of fungi and bacteria, and evolved enzymatic variants for appropriate biocatalysts. The goal: to develop competitive and eco-friendly bioconversions to produce molecules with antioxidant activity. Join us at our Final Conference “Mining enzymes for green products” to discuss how we can replace chemical processes currently used for the production of cosmetics with cost-effective, energy-efficient and eco-friendly bioconversions.
